France 1, South Africa 2
France played South Africa in the final game in Group A
Despite a decent start by the troubled French, South African giant Khumalo nodded the hosts ahead after 19 minutes. Yoann Gourcuff compounded the Gallic misery by getting sent off on 22 mins for an elbow.
The French looked embarrassed as South Africa doubled their lead with a 36th minute strike from Mphela, but pulled one back with a goal from Chelsea's Florent Malouda on 68 minutes. Sadly the 2-1 win wasn't enough for South Africa, who go out of the tournament.
