You only need to watch those famous films from the 70s to know that the life of a window cleaner is full of event and adventure. Especially when you’re 400ft up one of Dubai’s biggest skyscrapers. We know you’ve got safety equipment and all that, but it’s still a little more gnarly than temping.

We’ve all seen the movies. In the likes of Backdraft, being a fireman appears more of a macho posturing life filled with big blazes and buxom blondes. Sounds like the ultimate doesn’t it? Protecting celebrities, politicians or royals with your life. Jet-setting to some of the world’s destinations to guard a certain someone with your life. Did you get that bit? With your life? Soppy boy Costner may have made it look like the most glamorous jobs in the world, but when it boils down to it and there is a serious threat you’re expected to put your life on the line. Extreme much.

This is what it’s all about. If you’re into cars and driver jobs sound like the perfect life for you, you’re in luck. There are loads of options out there from truck drivers to delivery men. But for the ultimate adrenaline rush you can’t beat a job as a stunt driver. You’ll be impersonating Hollywood’s top celebs in the most dangerous of situations. Your bruised, battered and scar faced will be perfect for all those A-list parties your new showbiz pals are bound to invite you to.
Coastguard
There’s something about putting your life on the line your purely unselfish purposes. Making it all the more noble and virtuous. These workers help others who are in desperate need of assistance, who without them would surely lose their lives. It’s a big job, something that most of us simply couldn’t handle.
