Awesome new Aston!
Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish
It's alright. We'll wait while you gawp at the slide show. This is the all-new Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish, and it's Helen Of Troy pretty. Built to replace Aston's 5-year-old, flagship DBS supercar (otherwise known as James Bond's company car), it's as silly potent as you'd imagine.
The figures? Under the bonnet is a naturally aspirated 6.0 litre V12 petrol engine sending power through Aston's "Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox. Said power mostly being 565 bhp of fun, making it the fastest Aston ever behind the bespoke, £1.2m One-77 hypercar. In fact, a lot of the design cues – the longer side strakes and those beautiful wrap-around rear lights – are lifted pretty much wholesale from the One-77.
So that's 620 Nm or torques at 5,500rpm bringing 62mph up in 4.1 seconds, through to a top speed of 183mph. £189,995 RRP. But that's all just hot air and exhaust fumes. Just look at it. It's set to be the prettiest car on the streets, when it starts landing on them at the end of the year.
