The ultimate grudge rematch!
UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva is all set to face number one contender Chael Sonnen in the most anticipated rematch in UFC history at UFC: 148 this Sunday 8th July at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas.
Silva the most dominant UFC champion of all time and considered by many as the best pound for pound fighter on the planet first met Sonnen back in 2010 at UFC: 117. Sonnen hyped the fight like no other, insulting not only Silva, but also his coaches, his country and even taunted Silva about his wife!
Against all odds it was Sonnen who dominated the fight, but in the final round and after 23 minutes of being dominated Silva managed to trap Sonnen in a triangle choke and submit him in one of the greatest comebacks of all time.
Now the rematch is closing in and it’s Silva’s turn to talk trash, at a recent media call “The Spider” unleashed some terrifying words for his opponent “ Chael Sonnen is going to get his ass kicked like he’s never gotten his asked kicked before. What I’m going to do inside the octagon is something that’s going to change the image of the sport.”
If that wasn’t worrying enough for Chael, Silva continued “I’m going to make sure that every one of his teeth are broken, his arms are broken, his legs are broken. He’s going to not be able to walk out of the octagon by himself. I can guarantee that. And I know that he’s listening so the game’s over. No more shit talking. It’s on now.”
It looks like it certainly is on, and we can’t wait for it, expect fireworks and if Anderson is correct, expect a whole new level of violence from the champ!
