Ken Block's Gymkhana Five

Shot in San Francisco, #GYM5 is an all out assault on real streets, giving Ken Block the chance to take his skills to one of the world’s most famous urban settings. From laying rubber in the Financial District and The Bay Bridge, plus tearing round a barge down on the water: Ken’s taken the concept one step further in a super fast paced and technically awesome display of hooning.

Running the same whip that took him to Silver in X Games 2 weeks back, Ken’s Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle (H.F.H.V.) gave him 2 litres of turbocharged ferocity which spewed 600 horsepower and 665 lb-ft of torque across pavements and launched him airborne at any opportunity. The Monster World Rally Team’s creation also got the chance to spin up sideways over transitions as Ken tamed the Ultimate Urban Playground in the only style he knows how.

“San Francisco was absolutely amazing for Gymkhana,” said Block. “It’s such a unique location for this kind of driving and allowed me to do some things that I never thought I’d ever be able to incorporate into one of my Gymkhana videos—like jumping a table top or doing a jump drift! I’m stoked with how this project turned out and I’m truly a lucky bastard to have been able to do the things I was able to do on the streets of San Francisco.
