Shogun seeking "The Truth"

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will look to earn himself another shot at the light heavyweight title when he faces Brandon “The Truth” Vera in the main event of UFC on Fox 4: Shogun vs. Vera on the 5th August in Los Angeles, California.

Former Pride and UFC champion Shogun is known as one of the most deadliest strikers in all of mixed martial arts with 17 of his 20 wins coming by way of knockout and with Vera predominately using his muay thai skills inside the octagon expect one of these fighters to be face down on the canvas before the final bell rings.

In the co-main event is another light heavyweight clash as former champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida meets The Ultimate Fighter season 8 winner Ryan “Darth” Bader. Machida will need to use his allusive style to avoid Bader’s takedowns and keep the fight standing where he can try to dominate with his accurate and lighting fast karate style.

Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White has gone on record and stated that the fighter that wins most impressively out of the main and co-main event will get the next shot at the light heavyweight title.

With that added incentive expect all four fighters looking for the finish and to be giving every last drop of blood and sweat inside the octagon to prove that they deserve the next shot at the title.
