Nicole Kidman stars as a scheming trashy blonde in a steamy thriller based on a true story from the makers of Precious (adapted from a book by Deadwood creator Pete Dexter) where she plays a mental man eater at the centre of a murder mystery. Matthew McConaughey (fearsome in Killer Joe) is a reporter who returns to his hometown in Florida to hang with his bro Zac Efron but ends up investigating the suspicious death row conviction of John Cusack and his bizarre engagement to Kidman's character Charlotte Bless.
The film premiered at the Cannes festival back in May where director Lee Daniels revealed that when he was cutting the film Nicole insisted a scene where she pees on Efron be kept in the film - she urinates on him after his character is stung by jellysfish in the sea. But think twice next time you get stung and ask someone to wazz on you, it's an urban myth and won't relieve the pain!
The Paperboy is in UK cinemas this autumn...
