West Ham Season Preview

Ricardo Vaz Te

With Hammers fan Neville Côté wustylebrixton.co.uk

Pre-season form?
Results wise pretty mixed but I gave up reading into pre-season games years ago.

What to look forward to from your club this season:
Hopefully that fresh, exciting feel we had last time we came up with Pards. Some decent football would be nice as well.

What to worry about:
We don't have a fresh, exciting feel about us and are overwhelmed. The hoof.

Where are you going to finish?
Optimistic 9th Pessimistic 15th

Best/most outrageous transfer rumour
Kaka!

Manager right man for the job?
He's done pretty much what he set out to do so far, but with his reputation(deserved or underserved) he'll always be a handful of bad results away from the sack unless he wins something major.

Player to look out for
Ricardo Vaz Te (above).  Also interested to see if Ravel Morrison comes through.

Dead wood you would get rid of?
Big Sam is already on that.

Game of the season?
A cup draw against Millwall? It would be nice to have a farewell party for the Boleyn.

Best away day?
Tottingham. Chelsea, Man Utd. Quite looking forward to Loftus Road as well.

Favourite chant?

'Your mum's your dad and your dad's your mum, your mum's your dad and your dad's your mum' sung to Norwich and other country folk. The one at the Olympic opening ceremony was pretty good.

How good are your pies?
Pretty poor. I was once warned by a pie vendor at Upton Park "Chicken? Are you sure? Can't be too careful with chicken"! Cost lots and taste rubbish. Not of a northern standard. Not strictly pie-related, but last season I found a big furry lump of mold in my pasty.

Anything else?
I'm quite excited.
