Manchester United Season Preview

Shinji Kagawa

With Marc Gadian (@NutsManGads)

Pre-season form
Unbeaten so far (Barca winning on pens doesn't count!) Good to see Vidic play a full hour. Should be fit for season start.

What to look forward to from your club this season
A much better European campaign after last season's disasters (CL and Europa). And the emergence of another from the youth system - Will Keane

What to worry about:
How long you got? Shift of power to Blue half of Manchester. Another Glazer family rights issue/flotation. Inability to realistically compete in transfer market /bring in a marque signing. Fergie's last season...

Where are you going to finish?
Champions (obvs)

Best/most outrageous transfer rumour
Van Persie - £20m for a 29-year-old, and so soon after saying United will only bid big for a player under 26 (for future sell-on value)! Other notable mentions: Moura/Schneider/Modric/Baines/Fire sale at Malaga

Manager right man for the job?
Absolutely. 100%. Vital to keep anti-Glazer movement at bay.

Player to look out for
Shinji Kagawa (above). At last a player to "replace" the irreplaceable Paul Scholes (He scores goals!)

Dead wood you would get rid of?
You have to fear for Anderson, Evra, Berbatov, Macheda, Bebe, Nani yet to extend...

Game of the season?
Manchester derby at OT

Best away day?
(and worst) Anfield.

Favourite chant?
United Calypso OR Take Me Home, United Road

How good are your pies?
In hospitality, top notch. In the stands "pukka".

Anything else?
Fergie has already said the League is his priority as it should be, but surely this MUST BE Scholes and Giggs' last season. Will the next generation be ready to step up...
