Black Ops 2 hands on!

Pick 10! You can take any 10 bits of content from the game: perks, equipment and weapons and mix and match exactly how you like for all six classes. Don't want a secondary weapon? Trade it for an extra perk!

We're literally straight off a plane from Cologne's Gamescom expo, just bursting with news about Black Ops 2. Activision had a world exclusive press hands on yesterday with Blops multiplay. Two hours, three maps, lots and lots and lots of bullets. And nearly as much falling over, with blood streaming from head wounds.

Top notes: it's the just ever so slightly slower multiplay we know (and to be honest, prefer) from Black Ops. Load outs have been enormously refreshed with a pick 10 system of box filling – if you'd rather drop a secondary weapon to get more attachments on your primary, knock yourself out, soldier. Kill streaks have been tweaked into Scorestreaks.

They've returned to the "die and they reset" model, but you can build up Scorestreaks outside of killing: put a drone up, and every kill on your team bolsters your points. Grab a flag and you get points, return it and you get more. And there are 21 fun things you can do with them. Our favourite was the Guardian, a microwave suppressor that disorientates and injures enemies.

Activision are turning on eSports in a big way, so they'll be streaming commentated matches 24/7, so if you want to just chill out and watch people better than you, you can.
