BMW Zagato Coupe
A couple of months ago, BMW and exemplary coachbuilder Zagato had sloppy love affair, which consummated the rather wonderful Zagato Coupé. Well, it seems the sex was so darned good, and the offspring so beautiful, they've leapt back into bed together and produced this, a Roadster version they've called, um, the BMW Zatago Roadster!
It was created for the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance at the world-famous golf course just off Route One in California. And like other Zagato specials, it's up to us whether it gets made. Well, by "us" of course we mean minted car collectors with an eye for the extraordinary and hugely limited edition. If they get enough orders on the books, they make it. Simple as that.
For us mortals, there's a gallery to look at. Maybe make "vroom" noises and screechy tyre sound effects while you look at it. Knock yourself out!
