Based on the best-selling book by Yann Martel about "a young man's incredible survival at sea against almost impossible odds" the makers claim we are in for an amazing experience heralding "a remarkable brekathrough in the use of 3D technology" from Oscar-winning director Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).
They say: "Pi will take audiences on an emotionally captivating journey that will inspire, touch and transport them to a place of discovery they will be unable to forget..."
We say: One word... Epic!
Starring Suraj Sharma, Spiderman reboot villain Irrfan Khan, Gerard Depardieu, Rafe Spall and Tabu Life of Pi is in cinemas December 20th and already on our Christmas wish list.
