Rained off? No chance
The abandoned match between England and Poland might have given us a few things to laugh about (Roy Hodgson refusing to use an umbrella so he didn't look like a wally with a brolly, the curse if ITV's coverage of England continuing, the referee checking that the pitch was definitely waterlogged for the tenth time), but the fact that officials didn't step in and close the roof seemed baffling to us.
As it turns out, it was all a fuss about nothing and they should have just got on and played the match. Just watch the match below when Padova played Brescia. You can hardly notice the six inches of water can you?
The Brazilians won't let anything get between them and a good game of footie. Or water polo. The ball is actually floating during this match.
But all this water pales into comparison against the might of wind!
