We've been waiting forever to get our hands on what looks like is going to be one of the best shooters of next year, Aliens: Colonial Marines. And now we have.

Lucy Collett got an invite to an exclusive preview of the game and from the first play it feels like Sega has got the mood of the game just right.

The single player mode starts on LV-426, the planet where the Nostromo crew first encountered Alien eggs in the first film Alien. It's pretty obvious things have all gone a bit pear-shaped and it's not too long until you're blasting xenomorphs.

We didn't get a chance to have a crack at the multiplayer, but as you can see from the gameplay in the video, you get to BE AN ALIEN! Frankly, we'd bÿ the game just for that. But it looks like there will be loads of other reasons to get your copy. Aliens: Colonial Marine release date is February 2013.
