Ominous words from Superman's Earth dad Kevin Costner in the inspiring new trailer for the forthcoming big screen reboot of the DC comics hero.
With the recent news that DC's Justice League (including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman) will be facing off against The Avengers in 2015 we're even more hyped for this Zach Snyder directed Christopher Nolan produced retelling of the origin story of the lad from Krypton.
British actor Henry Cavill stars as Clark Kent - a child sent to Earth from the planet Krypton by his father Jor-El (played by Russell Crowe). Adopted by a couple in rural Kansas before moving to the big city, where in the original films he posed as a bumbling journalist, Kent's alter ego pledges to protect his new home from intergalactic evil... But only after dashing into a phonebox for a quick change into some fetching spandex and pants worn outside his trousers.
Joking aside, Man of Steel shows early signs of bearing all the hallmarks of Nolan's moody Batman trilogy - no bad thing we reckon. Also starring Amy Adams as Supe's squeeze Lois Lane with Boardwalk Empire's Michael Shannon as his shifty nemesis Zod we can't wait for June 14th to come around.
