Things to throw at footballers*
MARSHMALLOWS: It’s the time of year when many of us enjoy roasting marshmallows over an open fire, and footballers themselves have been known to indulge in a spot of roasting in the past. So let’s all pelt them with marshmallows as they jostle to contest a corner. Chocolate-covered ones are very tasty, so if you don’t have any chocolate to hand, just improvise.
It’s pretty much agreed that throwing coins at footballers is to be frowned upon. As we saw with Rio Ferdinand at the weekend, they can get cut and bleed everywhere and it’s, you know, not nice. So with that in mind, what CAN we throw at them instead?
