We've had a sneak peek of the Pulp Fiction director's latest and, as we'd hoped, it's another jaw-dropping fusion of dexterous dialogue and balls to the wall action from the bloke who's first job in the film industry was working in a video shop!

Watching all those gangster flicks and westerns clearly paid off for Quentin Tarantino and Django Unchained sees the master of the mash up movie on top form inspired by the spaghetti westerns of Italian director Sergio Corbucci.

Set in America two years before the civil war Jamie Foxx plays the slave Django who hooks up with bounty hunter Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) gunning for revenge and on a mission to rescue his woman from evil plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo Di Caprio). On their way to 'Candie Land' the bullets fly as they encounter Don Johnson before dealing with Candie's scheming right hand man, and former slave, Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson).

Django Unchained is in cinemas January 18th.
