Gosling plays Julian, a man living in exile in Bangkok after killing a cop. He runs a Thai boxing club as a front for a drug smuggling operation but his world unravels when his brother is killed for murdering a prostitute and their mother Jenna (Kristin Scott Thomas) orders Julian to "raise hell" in a quest for revenge. The official synopis reveals: "Julian’s contacts in the criminal underworld lead him directly to The Angel of Vengeance, a retired police officer who knows everything and who is both Judge and Punisher. Jenna demands Julian kills The Angel, an act that will cost him dearly..."
Also starring Thai pop star lovely Yayaying and Sahajak Boonthanakit, Only God Forgives opens in cinemas in the director's native Denmark on May 23rd so we shouldn't have much longer to wait!
