Ten Second Reviews
Electric skateboard
Our favourite present this year was ripping up the streets of London on a 3-foot long motorised skateboard. The scalextric style wireless remote control took us to the almighty speed of 15mph in 4 seconds and, even if we say so ourselves, we defined cool that day. We tested the eBoard Pro, the fastest of four boards and the one with massive off-road wheels.
After getting our balance right it was surprisingly easy to use, although cornering was quite hard work because there wasn't enough sway in the board. It charges by plugging it into a standard socket and will go 18km per charge, that's about 180 football fields. The one we tested costs £250, but they also go for £120, £150 (pictured) and £220. But if you were going to get one we'd recommend going the whole way and getting the big daddy. It's not quite a jet-pack, but we're getting there.
