Samsung HD camcorder
Seeing as the professionals have moved onto 3D films, the time has come for us simple commoners to be filming our You've Been Framed best bits in Full HD.
The HMX-H104 is no longer than your hand and about the width of a tennis ball with a 2.7 inch flip out touch screen.
It can tape up to 3 hours on the solid state hard drive and you can add extra memory with the SD card slot, but it also works as a 4.7 megapixel still picture camera.
It has some very cool features like using the touch screen to select exactly what you want the shot to focus on, and a time lapse function to capture the progression of your local building site or favourite kind of rotting fruit.
The camera adjusts all the settings automatically and does a good job of it, but you do have the choice to change them all to your satisfaction.
You wouldn't see the BBC with one of these, but for quality home video footage it ticks all the boxes for us.
It costs around £400 and you can have a closer look at samsungcamera.co.uk
