These Bose QuietComfort 3 Noise cancelling headphones might cost a fair bit, but if you want to impress your mates, you won't find better. Not too big (so you won't look like Craig David from Bo Selecta) and with astonishing sound quality, the best thing about these is that they're noise-cancelling, meaning if you take them on a plane you don't have to listen to crying babies or engine noise. Just pure silence, until you stick your tunes on. And when you play them, play them loud.
