Samsung Galaxy S3
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 4.8in screen, a super-fast quad-core processor, a quality 8MP camera and expandable storage, ticking all the key boxes for those looking for a truly feature-packed smartphone. It will launch on 29 May running Android 4.0, so new owners will be bang up to date with Google's mobile operating software.
The screen is HD Ready with a pixel density just below the iPhone 4S but it looks amazing, packing in a huge amount of detail and making it great for web browsing. The processor is stunningly fast, the screen absolutely dazzling and the microSD slot will come in handy.
The Galaxy S3 looks sleek from the front, with its simple design, curved corners and metal trim, but the glossy plastic back kind of puts a damper on things. After the iPhone 4S, it seems a bit of a step back. In the tech stakes, however, it's up there with the best.
