A PS3 exclusive, this is a retooling of the Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden 2, and the biggest difference is the addition of three new playable characters to back up the slightly bland Ryu, all thankfully ladies. So expect pert and bouncy, yet dangerous and slightly psychotic appearances from Ayane (from Dead Or Alive), Momiji (from the DS's Dragon Sword) and Rachel (from the original Ninja Gaiden).

Also bolted on for the PS3 version are online co-op modes, presumably down to the new selection of characters, and hopefully an easing of the game's traditionally sadistic and intimidating difficulty levels, Ninja Gaiden is not a game to take on lightly. Trust us, your controller will sport more than a few frustrated teethmarks if you make it anywhere near the end. Enjoy the slideshow, we'll find out, when it drops in September.
