Army - Be the best - Find out more...
With over 140 different trades - from engineers to chefs, technicians to medics - a career in the Army isn’t just about combat. The Army is committed to helping every recruit to be the best they can be. Throughout your Army career you can gain skills and receive vocational training including driving licenses, NVQs, Apprenticeships and degrees - skills that set you up for life. The Army will support your development even before you join through FE Bursaries and scholarships. You can join the Army either full time or as part of the TA, as a school leaver or a Graduate. You are then trained to become a Soldier or Officer.
This exciting and active lifestyle also comes with its fair share of benefits. Full time soldiers enjoy subsidised food and accommodation, free medical and dental care, as well as a protected pension. You’ll also get six weeks paid holiday a year (more if you’re sent on operations), excellent promotional prospects and unbeatable responsibility from the start. Regular soldiers’ salary after training starts at £16.5K and officer’s start at £24K.
