Every Arsenal fan is saying it, every critic is writing it. It is seriously time for Arsene Wenger to get out his wallet and spend

The extremely dragged out nature of Cesc Fabregas' return to his boyhood club has rumbled on for years. This saga is finally at an end and Wenger’s influential captain has joined for a tidy £35 million.

Then there's Samir Nasri, who's currently eyeing a switch to Manchester City. £25 million for a player with one year left on his contract? That’s a deal David Dickinson would turn orange to blue for!

Gael Clichy and Denilson have departed with Nicklas Bendtner and Emmanuel Eboue also looking to follow; now, even rumours about current captain Robin Van Persie’s future are circulating. Every day it seems a player is rumoured to ‘want out’ of the Emirates, causing fans to fear their club finishing lower and lower down the table.

Wenger seriously needs to pull his finger out and sign some players to avoid a Gooner revolution.

But perhaps every cynic is wrong, maybe he does have an ultimate plan up his sleeve. After all, he does have a tendency to leave major transfers to the last minute.

The replacements rumoured for the Emirates are ones that would make every Arsenal fan move on without remorse. Under Wenger's nurturing magic, these new signings would soon fill the gaps on the team sheet.

But who are these rumoured replacements?

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian trickter ‘Jádson’ is an ideal replacement for Nasri. Rumour has it he could go for as little as 10 million, this could prove to be an absolute bargain. Don’t believe me? Check out the 27 year old in action...

A deal for Valencia’s Juan Mata seemed dead in the water after Arsenal supposedly didn’t come up with the money in time, causing the Spaniard's release clause to rise to a reported £52 million.

This deal could be revived however, with the cash-strapped La Liga club surely willing to strike a deal for a reasonable fee.

The next few days are going to prove crucial for Wenger, possibly the most testing of his career. Fight fire with fire. Replace a Spaniard with a Spaniard!
